"Villains….favourite. What makes them interesting is that behind their immoral and destructive leanings is the belief, the perception of life from them. They tend to percieve reality outside the borders of the norm. They do what they do based on their experience and pain. The Difference is that they made themselves distant to the very thing that makes them real; Their Humanity or Their Identity/who they are. A terrificly good and hateful villain is one who thinks his view of life is right and noone elses. He perceives himself as the good guy and those that oppose him, ignorant and wrong or to the deluded, evil.
The Joker perceives reality in a whole new level. He thinks outside of the box of rules to the uncharted territory of chaos; what could have been. His knowledge is based on experience. But that only makes him even more twisted and hard to counter in the argument of belief and what is wrong or right. You might HATE him for his lack of empathy and evil deeds, but try to understand why he does this, Then it will be hard to hate him. But your sense of right and wrong are clear; he has to be stopped no matter what.
What makes the JOKER even more dangerous than super-powered monsters is his Belief and Deadly Ideals. It is like once you put your heart into something, you will never stop. Thus, The Joker is somewhat the unstoppable force, while The Batman is The unstoppable object. Two sides of the same coin, two opposite forces collide to mirror the character of Harvey Two-Face himself."
